BEST Medium Duty Cross Braces

Cross braces are important. Remembare that a painting may hang for years, and a long length of lumber can bow. Many artists require extra strength and stability in their stretcher bars.

These cross braces are made to work with the BEST Medium Duty Stretcher Bars to provide the stability an artist requires, especially on larger canvases. They are designed to overlap the groove on the back of the stretcher bar for a snug and secure fit. Generally it is recommended to brace every 24". The braces are sized to work with the appropriate bar so it is not necessary to order a smaller size.

If even more reinforcement is needed, BEST offers custom made museum quality cross braces for their Heavy Duty Stretcher Bars, which are cut to overlap to provide greater stability. Please email us or call 800-REX-ART2 for pricing and details.
