Finding
What You Want
You can find what
you're looking for at Rex Art using either the Shop button, the
pull down menu located on the left hand side of every page, or
a combination of both. The store is organized in aisles, just
like our Miami location. Each aisle represents a media (oil paint,
acrylics, watercolor, sculpture, etc.). Within each aisle are
all the materials you will need for that particular media - the
oil mediums are located in the oil aisle, the acrylic mediums
are located in the acrylic aisle, etc.
When you choose the shop
button up top, you will be taken to our main shopping page which
lists all of our aisles. From there you may casually browse each
of the aisles to find exactly what you want. The pull down menu
to the left goes to the same aisles, but gets you there a little
quicker. When you use the pull down menu, you can skip ahead a
few aisles to get to the exact area you are looking for by simply
choosing that area and pressing the 'GO' button.
We have tried to make shopping
online at Rex as easy and self explanatory as possible. However,

Searching
You can search for products at Rex Art with a simple or an advanced search. Either method produces a search results page where you can click links to view more product information or add products to your shopping cart.
In a simple search, you enter the word or words that you are looking for and click the Search button. The search will look for those words in the product names, descriptions, SKUs, and product detail pages. If you enter more than one word, only products that match all of the words will appear on the search results page. You can search for numbers, and you can use an asterisk for a wildcard character, as explained for advanced search, below.
In an advanced search, you can use several types of notation to expand or narrow the search:
- Wildcards — you can use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard to match any number of characters. For example, ba* would match both ball and bat, *art would match both start and part, and *55* would match both 3559 and 80995572.
- Boolean Operators — the advanced search function recognizes both text and symbols for Boolean functions. You can narrow your search with AND or a plus sign (+). You can broaden your search with OR or a pipe symbol (|). You can further narrow your search with EXC (excluding) or a minus sign (-). You can use parentheses to control the order of evaluation, such as "(A+B) OR C".

Placing
an Order
There are 3 ways to place an order
at Rex Art:
Search and Click: Simply search for an item using one of the methods above to find what
you want, hit the 'Add to Cart' button, and the item is automatically
added to your cart.
Add Multiple Items: Some pages are set up to allow you to add multiple
items to your cart. These pages contain small items such as paints, brushes,
canvases, etc. We have done this to make shopping for these types of items
quicker and easier. Just click on the check box next to the quantity for the
item you would like. Each item starts with a quantity of 1, but you can adjust
this quantity according to your needs.
Continue on down the page until you have chosen all of the items you wish to
purchase on that page. When you are finished, simply click on the add to cart
button at the bottom or top of the page. All of the items you have checked will
be added to your cart.
Browse and Click: You may browse our aisles from the Shopping Page
until you find what you are looking for. Larger items are listed singly. Simply
click on the add to cart button and one of those items will be added to your
cart. You may change the quantity of the item
when you view your cart.

Using
the Shopping Cart
The shopping cart
holds all of the items you've collected during a particular shopping
session. You can access this page by clicking on the button that
says 'Your Cart' at the top of the screen. The shopping cart is set up to show the number of items and order total at the top of the shopping pages without bringing you to your cart each time you order something. To bring up the shopping cart with every item you add, you may check the box marked 'Show me my cart every time I order something', then click the 'Continue Shopping' button.
Once in your cart, you can choose to increase the quantity of any of your items or remove any of the items by clicking 'Remove Item' to the left of the item. After you've changed any quantities, simply press the button that says 'Recalculate'. The shopping cart will automatically calculate your total. You
may also choose to clear your entire cart by choosing the button at the bottom which says 'Empty Cart'.
To add more to your cart, just hit the 'Continue
Shopping' button at the bottom of the page and continue shopping until you're
ready to check out.

Checking
Out
When you've finished adding items to the cart and are ready to check out, choose your method of shipping and payment. In order to calculate your shipping charge, enter your zip code and click 'Recalculate' then click on the 'Checkout' button at the bottom of the shopping cart. You will now be brought to the Shipping & Billing page. Here you may choose any special handling options and enter order comments. Then just follow this sequence:
- Enter your billing address in the space provided (this is the address which will be used to verify your credit card information).
- If you wish to ship to an address other than your billing address,
fill in the desired shipping address in the shipping address information
fields.
- Enter your credit card information.
- When you have finished the steps above, hit 'Confirm Order'.
You will have a chance to review your order and make sure all of your billing and shipping information is correct. You can still make changes by clicking on the 'Make Changes' button. When you are satisfied with your order, click 'Submit this Order' - you're done!
Using Your Paypal Account
Paying with PayPal is easy. Just choose PayPal in the payment options section of your cart. When you click on 'Proceed to Shipping and Billing' you will be directed to PayPal to complete your order. Log into your PayPal account to complete the transaction. If you do not have a PayPal account, click on 'Sign up for a PayPal account'. You may then follow the PayPal directions to complete your order.
Rex Art currently accepts PayPal payments from US PayPal accounts only.
