Poor Pens (1/5) Jan 28, 2009 Dan Mahlmann Philadelphia PA US
The white "Koh-i-noor" rapidographs get clogged very easily. Also they often leak at the front of the pen - where many people grip the pen - onto your fingers. At the finest line sizes, specifically .013 mm, they often don't work at all. The brown "Rotring" Rapidograph is superior in every way yet far less common in stores for some reason I cannot begin to fathom. I wish someone told me this before I spent lots of money on Koh-i-noor CRAPPY PENS.
15 years, and still going (5/5) Jan 31, 2010 Meghan Vaughan Las Vegas NV US
I am a professional artist, and I have been using this line of pens for 15 years, . The reason for this is because they are the BEST. They are not for sketching, but for technical uses and high-end illustrations. If they are mishandled, or the directions are not closely observed, problems such as leaking could occur (DO NOT SHAKE). However, if taken care of and handled properly they will last and perform with excellence for years. Owning and using these pens takes a certain amount of commitment to keep them like new, so if you're not going to bother taking care of them, don't waste your money. If you take care of your art supplies, then these are for you!
