Watercolor Mediums

Used to create striking white highlights or areas for overpainting at a later stage. Forms a fast drying water-resistant film on water color paper and board, easily removed when dry by rubbing with an eraser, soft tissue or cotton ball. An old brush, pen or cotton ball should be used to apply the Masking Fluid as it is extremely difficult to remove from brushes when dry.

Increases the gloss and transparency of water colors.

Improves the wetting and increases the flow of water colors. Only add a few drops of Ox Gall to your mixing.

Composed of natural rubber latex, ammonia and water, this milky fluid is applied with a brush to mask out surfaces not to be painted. When the latex is dry, it makes a flexible and water resistant film that is easy to remove.

Composed of gum-arabic, glycerin and water, this opalescent solution increases watercolor transparency and brightness. It improves adhesion and spreads the brush stroke.
