As for the viral+heat combo the reasoning is that viral increases damage to health and heat reducses armor by 50% as well as adds a DOT.Viral + heat is good vs almost everything, but corrosive and radiation have their uses as well. It's best to bring a primary and secondary combo to deal with multiple threats. Heat is the best single damage type at the moment. It's good vs infested good vs Grineer hp, good vs armor and puts a DoT on enemies.
